Assateague reigns with visitors among Maryland destinations

BERLIN — Assateague Island National Seashore has an $86 million economic impact on the surrounding area, according to a new National Park Service report. A report released this week by the National Park Service shows that visitors to Assateague Island National Seashore spent $86,309,300 in communities near the park in 2012.
