Art League of Ocean City, arts in the community

58 years of promoting artistic expression and appreciation for the creative arts in the community, the Art League of Ocean City has grown into a state-of-the-art center offering art classes, art competitions, exhibit events and more!

The league was founded in 1963 by a small group of local artists. Their first exhibit was held at the 2nd floor ballroom of the City Hall Building. After years, of expanding their vision, the league held its first prized art exhibit in 1980. Through fundraising and steady growth, in 2011 the league was able request funds from city council for a new 7,500 foot facility.

The league offers monthly art classes, various exhibits, and holds annual events like the Film Festival, Paint OC and the Sand Castle Home Tour. Robbie, pottery manager since fall 2020, was self taught. He creates art through sculpture, ceramic, glass as well as drawing and painting, He currently teaches 5-6 classes a week and leads one workshop per month for the Arts Center.
