Founded by their grandfather John W. Martin in 1958, siblings John and Erika are the current generation to lead their family’s seafood business. Located in West Ocean City’s commercial harbor, where the fishing industry has been a mainstay of the county’s economy for 150 years, John manages their offshore fleet while Erika oversees their seafood market and carry out shop.

Thanks to advancements in shipping logistics and refrigeration, Martin Fish Co. continues to provide high quality, fresh from the ocean seafood - primarily Summer Flounder and Black Sea Bass – to customers up and down the eastern seaboard. From April through December, residents and visitors to Maryland’s Coast can enjoy fresh caught and ready to eat seafood – including the popular fried flounder sandwich – from their seasonal market.



The Martin’s fleet consists of four vessels, that operate year-round. Their team is made up of 5 full time employees, and another 5 staff members during the summers to help unload boats and help in the store.
